PIT AREA
No Driver or crew member may enter the Pit Area until he/she has signed all releases, registrations and/or entry forms. Anyone caught in the pits without a current wristband will result in the disqualification of the entire race team with no refund. No alcohol consumption in the pits until after the racing is complete. If you smell of alcohol you will not be allowed to enter the pits. Fairgrounds must be vacated by 12AM.
No tire or hazardous material dumping in the pits. Minimum $100 fine.
PAYOUT
The pay window will be open for 30-minutes after the last race. Checks may be picked up the next two races. No checks will be mailed.

In case of inclement weather the race program will be considered complete after heats are over.
Make-up features will be run the first race of the next event.
Insurance pays participants per schedule for covered losses resulting from covered accidental injury during racing program. The policy is secondary or in excess to the injured primary policy. Any injury must be reported the same night to be eligible for insurance coverage.
DRIVER’S RESPONSIBILITY
Drivers are responsible for their pit crew and actions taken will affect the entire team.
• Disciplinary action will be taken for anyone acting in an unsportsmanlike manner.
• Race track will press charges for fighting.
• Fines and suspension are at the discretion of race officials.
• Any driver that leaves the drivers compartment of his car, while on the track, to argue with other drivers or officials will be disqualified.
• Pit crew and car owners are not allowed on the track or in tech area and failure to comply will result in the same penalty.
• All race cars may be inspected at any time. Drivers, crew members and car owners will give full cooperation to race officials.
• If a Driver is forced to scratch from the Feature race, it must be reported to the Pit Officials. Alternate starters may be used.
• There will be NO deliberate damage of another’s race car. Anybody who purposely hits or damages another driver’s car either on/off the track will be fined and/or suspended.
• Any Driver who gets out of their car during a yellow caution period is finished for the race. Track Officials or safety crew members can advise Drivers of any damage to their cars, but cannot work on the cars. The driver must stay with the car, as it is towed back to the pits. Any Driver leaving their race car to argue with Officials will be fined or suspended.
Track/Drivers – All race cars will assist in packing the track as needed, all cars failing to pack at least 12 laps will start at the rear of their heat. Race cars must not exceed 98 decibels.
The next scheduled race is to be lined up in the staging area when the previous race enters the track. If you are not there you start in the rear.
The top four (or as directed) finishing cars must report to the inspection area.
There will be time limits on all races. Generally the race may be called after 5 restarts. Promoter reserves the right to make this decision.
No mirrors or 2-way radios allowed.
Arguing Calls – No one is allowed to argue any call with Track Officials while a race is in progress. Calls will be made at the best of the Official’s abilities, and calls will not be changed. Abusive or improper language by anyone will not be tolerated. Any type of physical assault towards anyone may result in arrest by the Police. NO fighting / unsportsmanlike conduct / verbal abuse, or unprofessional displays will be tolerated. Fines and/or suspension will be levied if necessary to any situation.
All other cars would be scored the way they crossed the finish line on the last completed lap, with the cars causing the caution being scored at the rear. Drivers intentionally stopping the race for a flat tire will be black flagged. Any car causing two yellows by themselves will be black flagged.
Management of Drt Trak Racing, Inc. retains the right to refuse admittance to anyone. No driver, car owner or crew member shall have any claim for damages or expenses against Drt Trak Racing, Inc., speedway officials, or any track location venue by reason of disqualification or damages to either race car, pit vehicle, driver, car owner or crew members. They also agree that the track is in safe condition to race on if they take part in the racing program.

SAFETY
Required helmets must be Snell SA2000, SFI 31.1/2005 or newer. Must have helmet shield or goggles. Helmets must be worn at all times including packing. SFI approved full fire suits, fire retardant neck braces and gloves are required. Fire retardant shoes highly recommended. Roll bars must be padded around driver. 16X20 driver side ribbon or mesh type window net or arm restraints required. Window net to be mounted so latch is at the top front of window. Five point safety harness is required and must be securely mounted to roll cage using 1/2″ diameter bolts. Aluminum racing seats only and must be securely fastened to roll cage. 360 degree driveshaft loop required and must be constructed of at least .25″ by 2″ steel mounted 6″ from the front of the driveshaft. Kill switch to be mounted within easy reach of driver and clearly marked “on/off”. Must have an additional master shut off switch mounted BEHIND driver seat on horizontal surface (floor is not acceptable), clearly marked “on/off”, and be easily accessible from outside of car.
TECH
Leaving tech area without Tech or other Track Officials approval will result in a disqualification.
CHASSIS
Any U.S. manufactured full body rear wheel drive passenger car with full frame or uni-body. Minimum 108″ wheelbase, maximum 1” difference from side to side. Rub rails no bigger than 1″ by 2″ may be attached to the body from fender well to fender well and rear quarter panel, flush with body and painted to match car.
ROLL CAGE
All cars must have minimum 4 point roll cage. Material must not be less than 1.625″ O.D. seamless tubing and must have a wall thickness of .095″. Low carbon, mild steel tubing is recommended. Other materials are subject to prior approval. No iron pipe or square tubing allowed. Must be electric welded and well constructed. No brazing or soldering allowed. Location: No more than 41″ from top center of windshield to front edge of rear hoop. Top halo must be no less than 40″ across, inside to inside. On uni-body cars, cage will be mounted to four 1/4″ plates and mounted to the floor with four 1/2″ bolts per plate. Must have minimum of one cross bar in the top of halo of roll cage. May have front hoop from roll cage forward to protect radiator. Tubing may be added from top of roll cage to rear frame section to protect fuel cell. May have two bars for protection in front of radiator, behind bumper within confines of body, no wider than stock frame horns. May tie front horns together. Must have minimum of three windshield bars in front of driver.
DRIVER DOOR BARS
Must be as parallel with the ground as possible and located perpendicular to the driver so as to provide maximum protection for driver without causing undue difficulty in getting into or out of vehicle. Material must not be less than 1.5″ O.D. tubing and must have a wall thickness of .095″. Three horizontal door bars on both sides are mandatory and must be welded to the front and rear roll cage members. Minimum of four uprights tied from frame to top door bar on driver side, three on passenger side. Driver side door plate constructed of 18 gauge or 0.049 inch minimum thickness steel is highly recommended.
BODY
Must be neat appearing. All windows must remain open, except opera windows Maximum 7″ visor may be added to top of windshield opening. Must have windshield pillars, painted roll bars are not acceptable. Minimum 12″ vertical opening to left and right sides. All holes in front and rear firewall are to be covered in metal or aluminum plating. No mirrors allowed. Aluminum body allowed but must resemble stock OEM pieces. No body skirting below body lines. Body may be gutted. Back of hood must be sealed off from driver compartment. Total width not to exceed width of body. Maximum 4 braces including side braces: maximum 3″material height at front and must run in straight line to a maximum 7″ material height at rear. Maximum 18″ from front of brace to rear of body. Front bumper must be OEM with no sharp edges. Aftermarket plastic nose and tail pieces ok. Rear bumper not covered must have rounded ends that are connected to the body or the frame. You will not be allowed to compete without front and/or rear bumper. Front bumper may have one round bar, maximum 1″ diameter, to support nose piece. This bar may be 8″ maximum in front of the bumper. If front splash aprons bolt in, may be removed. Minimum 24″ tall numbers on both sides of car. Must have minimum 6″ tall car number visible from front of car. Rear spoiler with a 5″ total material height allowed.
**NOTE: We have decided to adapt IMCA rules’ wording for the following suspension rules for clarification purposes of track rules. We want it understood that, unless otherwise stated, all suspension parts are to match make, model, and year of the frame used.
FRONT SUSPENSION
All components and mounts must be steel, unaltered OEM, in OEM location and match frame. Rubber, nylon or steel lower A-frame bushings only – no offset or bearing type. No sway bars. Exceptions are: weight jacks allowed; OEM upper A-frame mount may be moved or replaced with aftermarket steel non-adjustable mount matching upper A-frame bolt on design; OEM or OEM replacement ball joints allowed. OEM upper A-frame may be replaced using aftermarket upper A frame; Shock location may be moved.
STEERING
No rack and pinion. All components must be steel, unaltered OEM, in OEM location and match frame. Exceptions are: bolt on spindle savers allowed, OEM steering column may be replaced with steel knuckles and steel steering shafts. Quick release required – steering quickener and steering wheel may be aluminum.
SHOCKS
One steel nonadjustable unaltered shock per wheel. No coil over, air, or remote reservoir shocks. No Schrader or bladder type valve allowed. No coil over eliminators.
SPRINGS
One steel spring per wheel only. All coil springs must be minimum 4.5 inches O.D. and non progressive.
REAR SUSPENSION
All components and mounts must be steel, unaltered OEM, in OEM location, and match frame. No independent rear suspension. Exceptions are: coil springs may be moved; shocks may be moved; aftermarket, stock type non-adjustable trailing arms allowed; mono-ball bushings allowed; trailing arm mounts must be within 2″ of stock location on upper and within 1″ of stock location on lower trailing arms at rear end. Weight jacks allowed.
REAR END
Any steel approved OEM passenger car or truck non-cambered rear end (housing and carrier) allowed. Safety hubs (floater) allowed. No sway/panhard bars. All components must be steel, exceptions are: lowering blocks, axle cap, and drive flange may be aluminum. No adjustable lowering blocks. Full steel spool, steel mini spool or welded rear end only. Steel axles only. No quick change devices. One piece drive flange only. No torque-dividing differentials.
TIRES & WHEELS
IMCA G60 Hoosier required and must have a maximum width of 9″ mounted on a steel wheel with a maximum width of 8″. Beadlock allowed on right side only. Bolt-in plastic mud cap or foam only. No snap-in caps allowed. Tires may be ground or siped within confines of tread (not past factory straight line). No softening of tires allowed. No recaps allowed.
BRAKES
Must be OEM, operative four wheels, drum or disc combination. No floating brakes. No brake shut-off devices. Proportioning valve allowed, front to rear only.
EXHAUST
Must be mounted in such a way as to direct spent gases away from cockpit of vehicle and away from areas of possible fuel spillage. Must use unaltered race mufflers with downturn exhaust. No exhaust through body panels or fenders.
FUEL CELLS
Racing fuel cells are mandatory and must be mounted by at least 2 steel straps 2″ wide around fuel cell. Fuel cells must be protected in rear by roll cage tubing securely mounted. No part of fuel cell may be lower than protective tubing. Check valve required. If fuel cell does not have aircraft style positive seal filler neck/cap system; a flapper, spring or ball type filler rollover valve is required. Fuel cells must be enclosed in metal container. Firewall required between driver and fuel cell. All cell mounts must be steel, attached to frame or cage. No adjustable fuel mounts. Fuel lines through driver compartment must be in steel pipe or conduit. No fuel filters in driver compartment. Gas only. No alcohol or performance-enhancing additives.
WEIGHTS
Must weigh minimum 3100 lbs with driver after race. Loose objects and/or weights will not be allowed in driver compartment. All weights added to vehicle must be securely mounted to tubing or frame with at least two 1/2″ bolts and painted white with car number. No weights allowed outside of the body. No weights attached above the deck of the car. Stacked weights will be at the discretion of tech inspector.
BATTERY
Must be securely mounted and shielded. Positive post must be covered.
TRASMISSION
Must have at least one gear forward and one reverse, plus a neutral position. With the motor running and the car not moving, driver must be able to engage car in gear and move forward, then backward. Only OEM production type transmissions will be allowed. No internal clutch transmissions allowed. Clutch must be in original location and may be multi disc. Three speed, four speed and automatic allowed. No five speed transmissions, in and out boxes or quick change devices allowed. All manual transmissions must have unaltered OEM case. Automatic transmissions must remain in OEM stock appearing automatic case. Manual: Must have explosion-proof steel bellhousing – minimum 270 degrees around top of clutch/flywheel area. Automatic: Aluminum OEM bellhousing may be replaced with aftermarket explosion-proof aluminum bellhousing. Original OEM bellhousing must have approved scattershield constructed of minimum 0.125 inch by three inch steel, 270 degrees around flexplate. Driveshaft must be steel and painted white.
ENGINE
Must be stock appearing. Absolutely no changes allowed. #1 plug must be forward of center of upper ball joint. All engines used in competition must be able to be used in a conventional passenger car without alterations. Motor mounts cannot be removed or altered on engine block. Castings and fittings must not be changed. No machine work on outside engine or on front or rear of camshaft. Any carburetor is allowed. No air funneling devices. No roller cams allowed. No limit on engine cubes. All cars must have an operable starter. Carburetor adaptor plate or spacer may be used. No aluminum heads or blocks. Aluminum water pumps allowed. Stock, push rod type fuel pumps only. Cooling system may be modified. Any over flow tubes must be directed to the ground, inside frame rails. No external cooling devices allowed.
***GM 604 crate engine will be allowed in street stock for the 2017 season. Davenport Speedway, Quad City Speedway, and Maquoketa Speedway will all have the 604 crate option in street stock. All 604 crates must meet IMCA legal standards including seals. RPM limits will be enforced on the 604 crate engine at 6800 rpm using one ignition box or rev limiter. Legal ignition boxes allowed are: MSD 6AL P/N 6425, MSD P/N 8728 or MSD P/N 8727CT. Crate engine cars will be allowed to weigh 2800 lbs. Promoters reserve the right to adjust crate engine rule as season progresses. The crate engine option is being added to be a more affordable avenue for budget minded street stock racers, not to make street stock a crate dominated class. The penalties for any crate engine rules infraction will be a three week suspension, a 500.00 fine, and removal of all seals or seal bolt numbers before race car leaves the tech area. This penalty will not allow the offender to run Davenport Speedway, Quad City Speedway, or Maquoketa Speedway until fine and suspension are served, this includes car and driver.
TRACTION CONTROL
No computers allowed on race car, including, but not limited to, electronic traction control devices. Any driver caught with a traction control device will be subject to a fine, seizure of illegal parts and/or a lifetime suspension from all Drt Trak events and a notice of the details of suspension will be sent to all promoters in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
PROTEST RULES
All intent to protest must be placed with a race official immediately following the feature with $100 cash. Car in protest will be checked and if found illegal car will lose all points and awards for that night and protester’s money will be returned. If car is legal then the protested car receives the money. Car owners and drivers are the only ones allowed to protest. Track officials have the right to protest any car, at any time, at no charge. No driver may protest more than two times during the racing calendar year. Protest is in effect on opening night for all eligible drivers and driver must have been at track on opening night to be eligible to protest second night of season. Following that, no driver may protest unless he/she has competed at the track the two previous consecutive events or 50% of the seasons races.
Any rule, covered or not covered, will be interpreted by track officials. Officials’ decisions on scoring and rules are final. Promoter retains the right to change and/or interpret the rules in the interest of better competition or safety.

TECH AREA
Cars required to bring service manual(s) to the track. Leaving tech area without Tech or other Track Officials approval will result in a disqualification.
CAR & BODY
4 cylinder front wheel drive cars only. Must be neat appearing. Maximum wheelbase 107″ with no more than 1” difference side to side. All glass and trim must be removed. Must have stock bumpers or stock appearing bumper covers. You will not be allowed to compete without front and/or rear bumper. Stock dash should be removed. Interior must be gutted. Stock floorpan must remain. Driver seat must be in confines of original location. No interior tinning. No mirrors allowed. Hood and trunk lids may NOT be gutted. All window openings must remain uncovered. Clear lexan in quarter windows allowed. No body skirting allowed below body lines and must be securely attached top and bottom. Maximum 7″ visor may be added to top of windshield opening. Minimum 12″ vertical window opening on left and right sides. Fuel tank must have shield on underside, fuel cell highly recommended. Firewall required between driver and fuel cell if used. If fuel cell does not have aircraft style positive seal filler neck/cap system – a flapper, spring or ball type filler rollover valve is required. Must have doors chained or welded shut. Must have 3/8″ diameter or larger cable hooks installed on both the front and rear. No bars or rub rails allowed outside of body. Minimum 24″ tall numbers on both sides of car. Must have minimum 6″ tall car number visible from front of car.

TIRES, WHEELS & SUSPENSION
Car must only run 13, 14, 15, 16 inch size tire/wheel and must be the same left to right. May run different size front to rear. Must be OEM steel or aluminum wheels with maximum 7″ width with minimum 1″ lug nuts. Maximum tire width of 215 (example: P215/70R16). No N,Q,R,V,W,Y, or Z speed rated tires allowed. No mud and snow tires allowed. No softening of tires allowed. No siping, grooving or grinding of tires allowed. Tire size must be CLEARLY marked so it can be easily found and read. Brace allowed between strut towers, front and rear. Re-enforcing of right rear hub allowed. No bead-locks or mudplugs allowed. No aftermarket suspension parts allowed.
ENGINE
Engine must be OEM in make/model of car. No modifications allowed. No turbo, super charged or rotary engines. Maximum 225 lbs compression. No performance enhancing parts allowed except for exhaust header. All parts must meet OEM specs for make/model/ year. Aftermarket air filter allowed but with no air funneling devices. Exhaust must extend past the driver and point towards the ground. Must have metal firewall between driver and fuel tank/cell. Any over flow tubes must be directed to the ground, inside frame rails.
FUEL
Maximum 93 octane gas only. No alcohol or additives of any kind.
BRAKES
All 4 wheels must be stock hydraulic type with no adjusting type mechanism in the driver compartment.
DRIVETRAIN
No locked, limited slip or welded differentials allowed.
WEIGHTS
No ballast (weight) allowed.
